I am looking (along with lots of other people) for service info for the
Bearcat DX-1000 receiver. its a a poor performer but I would like to see if
it can be improved.
lots of people have looked for this info for at least 10 years and I am not
aware of any service manual bureau that has it and Uniden/Bearcat has not
had this info for many years.
if anyone has any new actual leads on this please post this info for all the
DX-1000 seekers.

if you don't know of any factual leads, don't bother with suggestions. I
think every major manual supplier has been contacted by one person or
another.

What about this receiver makes it a poor performer, and what would you
like to try and change on it? Just curious, as it has been dogged for
many years as a bad radio but I've never really heard exactly why. Is
there anything at all that's good about it, besides the fact that it
looks nice?
