I haven't found it on the net, but I'm sure someone knows -- what are the
basic differences between the Heatkit SB-101 and the 102?

Two main differances are the 102 has a transistor VFO (think Heath called it
a LMO) instead of a tube and the RF amp for the receiver is a differant
tube to give a little more sensitivity for 15 and 10 meters.
I think the 102 has an extra connector in the back for the transverters but
not too sure about that.

Definitely: the SB-102 has a solid state LMO. The SB-101 a tube.

As I Recall: a change in a couple of the receiving tubes and
resistor values.

Nothing Earth-shattering took place.

Still my favorite rig of all times.
