Yaesu FT-736 no SSB modes, no CW mode

Hello friends.
My Yaesu FT-736 shows a curious problem. When I switch to USB, LSB, CW
or CW-N it silences and no audio output is heard. The S-METER shows no
signal at all. It seems to be a digital trouble, or hardware
"squelched" . It works great in FM & FM-N modes.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
