It does make me wonder how any coiled antenna (which is 1/4 wave uncoiled) could be better then a full size quarter wave. The slight inductance at the bottom can't help. Inductive reactance increases with frequency for a given inductance. Why would you want a resistor in series with your radiating element before the peak voltage is developed at the tip? |
