own a pair of Midland LXT300 GMRS radios, the package says it has an
average range of 10 miles under good conditions. I have heard that the range of GMRS radios is often exaggerated, can anybody shead any light on this? Is this also true for my radio set? thx in advance |

If you believe that ANY of these GMRS/FRS radios will have a range of
10 miles, I can tell you where you can buy a nice bridge connecting Manhattan with Brooklyn! ;-) I think you can get just as good range with two cans and string.
