Has anyone experimented with adding directors and a reflector to a TV VHF rabbit's ears or a Terk TV5 amplified dipole? Dick I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it has been tried with rabbit ears, but you would; (1) have to adjust element lengths for each change of channel, and (2) have to have lots of room on top of your TV set -- especially if the direction of the station is not ideal for your room! On the higher channels it might not be too bad! In addition, if you used a rotor you might end up gaussing up the screen beyone the point of degaussing! :-) Irv VE6BP -- -------------------------------------- Diagnosed Type II Diabetes March 5 2001 Beating it with diet and exercise! 297/215/210 (to be revised lower) 58"/43"(!)/44" (already lower too!) -------------------------------------- Visit my HomePage at http://members.shaw.ca/finkirv/index.html Visit my Baby Sofia website at http://members.shaw.ca/finkirv4/index.htm Visit my OLDTIMERS website at http://members.shaw.ca/finkirv5/index.htm -------------------- Irv Finkleman, Grampa/Ex-Navy/Old Fart/Ham Radio VE6BP Calgary, Alberta, Canada |
