mine in 1967 was in PA at the time live in Colo now---for those that don't
know the WPE call signs were issued by Popular Electronics Magizine in the
60's and early 70's at that time shortwave listening had a surge of
popularity and PE devoted a collum to it with the registration
offered--they sent a nice diploma size form with ones name,call sign and
location on it. I see folks with the WPE call sign once in awhile and
