I have a nice Drake R-8 receiver for sale or trade.
Looks and works great, with the manual.
This a plain R-8 model, no A or B.

I would like to trade it for other shortwave or ham HF gear.
Or I would sell it for $400 shipped.

I just want to se something else for a while.

I have a ICOM R71A with SP3 speaker SSB filter and Xtal oven all in excelant
condition. Also upgraded internal switcher power supply

You mentioned an upgraded switching power supply on your R71A. I've got
an R71A whose power supply developed problems and I simply supply the
radio with 12V from an external source instead.

Please tell me a little about the factory power supply vs. the upgrades.
