I've updated my SW100 page at

http://www.dai.ed.ac.uk/homes/cam/gadgets/SW100.html

to include photographs of the pre-1997 model (with the ribbon cable
problem) and the post-1997 model (with the cable problem fixed) so
that the difference can be clearly seen.
