yesterday afternoon I happened to catch the last ever broadcast of Swiss
Radio International. Another one bites the dust ! We here in Canada are waiting for the end of Radio Canada International. They have been cutting their budget for a few years now, It shouldn't be too long now.................. 73, Frank p.s. I posted this yesterday but I don't see it.........sorry |

I thought the host, Vanessa Malik (sp?) did an exceptional job, but I was less impressed with the boss, a Mr. Lombard. He generated sincerity over the difficulty of the decision, but reminded me of a few corporate heads I've encountered during layoffs (this -was- a radio "layoff"), a lot of regrets but not much in the way of explanation or justification. |
