Default Newer Yaesu VX-5Rs still have images blocked ?

I heard a rumor that newer model Yaesu VX-5R radios no longer have cellular
images blocked but still have cellular blocked. I had one at one point but
returned it when it wouldnt receve a busienss radio system in that range I
wanted to listen too (my Kenwood THF6 could do it). The range was 937 and
938 Mhz (Disneyland).

I really prefer many other features of the VX-5R and it would be great if
this rumor were true. Anyone have information on this?

regards,

Mike

Thats how Yay-Hoo designs radios! the image rejection is SO POOR they have
to block the images too hahahaha.
Do yourself a favor, get a REAL RCVR and forget YAY-HOO. Even the little
Radio-Shack PRO-83 (at$119) runs circles around the VX-5
is triple conversion and the first IF is over 250Mhz.
Yaesu makes junk, they will continue to dump ****ty radios on hams as long
as were dumb enough to keep buying their garbage.
Your Kenwood TH-F6 is a lot more radio for the money, Most of the Yaesu
radios are built with a ($) in mind. Most of their VHF/UHF stuff is
pure crapolla, the FT-90R is a joke, the FT-7100 is a joke of a RCVR, the
FT-8100 was so intermittant it's useless. The FT-100 was a toad and the
replacement FT-100D is STILL full of bugs.
Look for the "Colored Dots" at the end of the package, it indicates which
recalls the radio has had installed (how many times it went back to the
factory before you even bought it).
look up Yaesu on www.eham.com and read all about them.
It's simple......a yellow taxi painted blue was still a taxi, a Yaesu with a
new name/model number is still a cheap piece of ****.
