Default Midland 70-0375C commercial 6 meter rig??

Hi all...
I have recently accquired a Midland 70-0375C 100 watt 42-50 mhz trunk mount
transciever with control head, mounting bracket, power cord, speaker and
mic...
but no interface cable...
How available are the interface cables?? Can anything else be used in place
of them??
Can these be reprogrammed to work on the ham bands??
If anyone is looking for one of these, let me know..thanks..

I "Think" I recall that model can be programmed and Tuned to the 6M Ham
band, but the tuning process can be a bit tricky unless you have the
service manual. The Interface cable should be accessable from any
commercial dealer that sells Midland LMR radios. It should also be
fairly cheap as the cheap version of the Interface cable is nothing more
than computer type flat ribbon cable (26 conductor) with cheap plastic
crimp/mash type connectors on each end.

The cable you need is a regular PC style IDE cable....just get one long
enough! and make sure you maintain Pin 1 to Pin 1...I MAY have a spare
control cable lying around....but if you get the correct IDC connectors and
flat ribbon cable, you can make your own.....

As for programming them on 6mtr, yes they can...the radio needs to be
retuned (RX Front end especially) but I have 2 of them on 6 already...(I did
them over 10 years ago....found the info from Midland LMR factory guys I
bribed
Programming requires the 70-1080 handheld programmer (about $400) OR the
software AND the 70-1308 interface (about 60-100 bucks aftermarket)
