Hi All,
My TH-78A has decided it requires a new back-up battery. At this stage I have not opened the radio to see what is required, but if anyone has any information, advise on the task before I start on it, this would be of great help. hi,
Just follow the instructions for me-1 installation, you open up the case the same way to replace the lithium battery. It is soldered in place so try to get one with tabs on it, avoid soldering to the battery directly. Please use a static wrist strap and static workstation pad when you are working on this radio, the cmos circuits can get damaged from static. One thing to watch out for is the small chip resistors on the top encoder board, they can break off if you are not careful. 73 th78guy Kevin wrote: Thanks for the info, looked at every download, and could not see the info on how to do the back-up bat change.
