Has anyone had this mic problem (HM98s) with their IC-2100h radio?
The mic lights up and the red indicator on the mic lights when PTT is
actuated
but the mic does not communicate with the radio. Functions , DTMF ,
PTT,audio, dont work for days at a time then all is well again without
having done anything
to the radio. The radio lives indoors on a power supply, has had very
little
transmitting time. There is no indication on the bar graph output
power level display indicating that PTT has been pressed. I did a CPU
reset. Nothing. I dont think its the mic itself because I tried a mic
from another working radio and still no response. Taking the mic from
this unit and trying it on the other working radio, it works fine.
The function buttons on the radio itself all work fine. The lock is
not engaged on the radio or the mic.
