I've had scanners all of my life, but never one dedicated to trunk
tracking. I've read reviews and familiarized myself with what's available, but what I really need are real-world opinions by the people who own them. In your view, what is the BEST unit? |

Here's 2 cents worth of opinion: For non-digital trunking handheld: The PRO-95 is on sale now at Radio Shack for $129! This represents a fantastic value. 1000 memories, alpha tags, computer programmable, (a must in my opinion). Great free programming software from Don Starr at http://www.starrsoft.com/ ------------------------ I do not own a the new Uniden 246T (trunk tracker III), But I just read a review in this Months Popular Communications by Gordon West. This thing sounds pretty sweet: Upto 1600 memories, built in frequency counter, etc... Wow for $229. _________________ |
