Default Sony SW77 vs. ICF-2010

If spending same amount of money - which radio would you want - and
why. Thanks very much for the help!

The 2010 was tops in its day, and better than the 77 IMO. But good luck
finding one for a reasonable price-ebay has pushed up prices on 2010's
to ridiculous levels. Given that reality, a 77 might be more within
reach financially.

The SW77 is more 'portable sized' for travel if that's important to you.
They are both good receivers

Performance-wise I find them indistinguishable. You might prefer the
ergonomics of the 2010, as some people complain that the SW77 is
difficult to use--though I don't find it difficult.

Consider there is little to listen to on the SW bands nowadays, you will
find that both radios can receive static equally well.

What are you using? A Grundig Mini-World? Last night the bands were
practically bursting at the seams on my R8B.

There are more stations than blank spots on the bands.

I've never owned a 2010, but I've had a SW77 for a couple of years now.
I like it for the most part. I love the menu system that it uses for
storing station presets. The only thing I don't like about it is its
audio, which I fine to be muffled/muddy. I don't know if the audio on
the 2010 is any better.
