I've owned both Uniden 380XLT/296D/and now BCD-396T. All reviews I've
reed on both 296D and 396T, they came on top.
5500 Channels (never run out of room) & includes 3 recharable batteries
belt clip, software (d/l from uniden which suxs, ARC396T way to go)

Their are some issues /w 296D need be addressed & to fix (APOC-25),
doesn't sound all great @ times and garble.

Hopefully uniden comes out /w europe version soon.
