Glad to hear it. I too was concerned...and still am re. Dick, W0EX. Has

Ditto here. A couple months ago I looked up his phone number and
called him. Got his answering machine, told him I was concerned,
please call or e-mail me, and left my number. Nothing heard yet.
Quite a while ago a notice was posted here that Dick had passed
away. Perhaps someone (not me) wants to Google-search RRAP to find
it.
A search of the QRZ index showed that his license name was Richard
S. Carroll and his last address was Willow Springs, MO. No DOB was
listed.
A search of the Social Security Death Records Index shows a Richard S.
Carroll, DOB 4/18/1942, passed away 10/25/2003. Although there was
no place (city, county, state, ZIP) listed for last benefit, his
Social Security card was issued in Missouri, and his passing was
verified by Death Certificate submitted to Social Security (probably
by his survivors to receive the lump sum burial benefit). IIRC Dick
retired from the Missouri State Police communications division, so
it would be plausible that he did not receive a retirement benefit
from Social Security.
This all appears to fall into place. We'll miss him.
Tnx Phil.
