are not a law enforcement officer and the law strongly discourages
vigilantism.

Vigilantism isn't necessary to enforce a law; all that is required is an active

system of justice we have, as it violates the rights of the accused, and is even
expressly forbidden in statutory law in some local jurisdictions.
