It's not a stupid question at all. You can use just about anything for an
antenna -- a TV antenna, a rain gutter, a bed mattress, or even a chain-link
fence. But in order to use such things you need an antenna tuner. However, if
you -do- connect it to a TV antenna, you should disconnect the television before
you transmit or you will probably ruin the TV, even if you don't use an amp with
your CB.
