DO NOT use a "hand held" in a car for purposes of listening to the CB
to listen to and or talk to truckers.

I did a job recently where one of these people who do this FINALLY got
so fed up with the pain & inconvenience and LOUSY range that he called
me up and I got him a (a) REAL CB, which has a REAL microphone, and a
REAL CB antenna I installed on the outside of his pick up. I talked
to him 10 miles on our way apart !

So what you get INSTEAD, depending on what you want to spend, is a
UNIDEN PC-68 or Pro-510 CB, a 3' or longer AMERICAN MADE magnet mount
antenna (or other directly mounted antenna), and you WILL have a lot
more range on it, and you won't get "hand held" DISEASE like my
customer did. HAND HELD CB's are for WALKING around with, NOT to be
used in vehicles! IF you think the "can you hear me NOW" Cell phone
commercial was bad, you WILL be saying WORSe things IF you get a hand
held CB and use it in the car!
