This is a case where your mouth speaks before your brain engages.
You take a cheap shot, then announce that my reply will be smart ass?
And I believe it was you who stated that once the free upgrade came
through that you would join the ARRL. Why are you not a member now?
And just for the record I never said or implied that coders were
better than no coders, my complaint is free upgrades for some and not
others.
I do think the new novice class is a good idea.
I also think having no time to study the code is a cop out. You have
plenty of time for the usenet but no time for code? Can you possibly
justify your position because I can't?
So for my smart reply I say you are a weak individual and all I have
to do to prove my point is read your verbiage.

I have been busy doing work and real life things that affect my living
situation. Therefore ARRL and Amateur radio are not a priority to me.
I never stated that you said anything about coders being better than
no-coders either. Im not supporting a free upgrade, Im happy being a
tech, I am however supporting licensees being able to work HF via
phone. Cant do code while at work, Causes too much of a distraction
for other employees here. Your opinion about me being weak is noted
and trashed. There is alot of good that can come from this, More good
than bad if there is any bad at all.

Change happens and there is always someone going to get a better end
of the deal. Its a part of reality that we have to deal with and
accept. I accepted the fact that I have to pay extreme taxes and
insurance owning my own company, but the hardest part was getting it
all together and dealing with it. I dealt with it and I am happy that
I did. Some had to really work for code and some had it where code
came naturally, now we may not even have to do it at all. It happens,
times change!
