it was basically brit vs brit and throw in some hessian (german)
mercenaries on the brit side and some 'volunteer' french on the
colonists side.
ww2 was just that. the allies destroyed german fascism and japanese
imperialism. this country came of age at this point in history by using
its industrial, military and intellectual might.
