Default Trying to snow here in the Mojave Desert, Brrrrrrrrr.....

Hello All:

A weather update and skip condations report, From the Mojave Desert.

Very cold winds and light rain last night, with some light hail, and
even some snow flakes. Light wind and rain tonight, with the wood stove
running all night again tonight.

Listening in on the scanner the Highway Patrol was closing some mountain
roads as tow trucks had to remove several cars today out of the mountain
roads. Skip did not allow the CB Radio to work for local communications,
but the 2 meter ham band was alive with emerengy use today.

The skip died down this evening so now we have two locals in modified
hot rod Jeeps out there mountain toping talking on the radios to all
over the High Desert, and into the Los Angles areas. Hope they can get
down as tempatures will certainly drop below frezzing to night in the
mountains.

This will certaily be heavy jacket wearing weather. And its a good call
to stock up on canned food, Gas, fire wood, long underware, and what
ever else you would need, should we get snowed in again, and such from
Miss Dinah's Fillin Station, just down the road ah ways.

The snow reports and local road condations will be on channel 12 and 15,
with some guys sneaking off to Lower 38 and 40. Early in the morning.
From about 4 AM to 7 AM.
