If you clicked the link, i.e.
http://webpages.charter.net/moment/scancontrol.htm
you would see the screen snapshot of it showing the baud rate and also
showing no banks 1 or 2, They go on and on about a monitor but we could not
find it any where on the demo we downloaded on August 2, 2003 and tested
for this last week. A really big problem with it is you can't install it on
the D:\ drive. I don't want scanner programs running on my C:\ drive I
want them in D:\Scanner\Software but when we did that it would not even
start, i.e. we got errors stating it could not find a .dll file. All in all
ARC780 or TrunkStar780 are both 10,000% better programs. and for the
BC780XLT the little ScanPro 780 program from BlackBag does it just fine,
and if you don't want to spen a dime go get Java780 at
http://www.qsl.net/ke9zm/java780/java780.html
It works it's free what more
could you ask for :-)

I agree with you on Trunkstar780 and ARC780. I use Trunkstar780 for all
my logging and ARC780 for editing. I find java780 to be a silly little
program because it don't allow you to edit anything. ScanPro is the only
program I don't have for the 780 so I cant say anything about it. You
forgot to mention Andy's 780 programmer which is a very good and free
program. If you never heard of it then you can get it here
http://www.angelfire.com/electronic/.../download.html
The only
thing about Andy's program is that you have to have excel in order to
use it. I don't know why your having the problems you are with the 785
and ScanControl but I know they are working out all the bugs. Give it a
couple weeks and maybe try it again. Who knows you might like it when it
works.
