I am a firefighter In Oklahoma. We have a Motorola 800mhz type II system.
I have 2 trunk tracker scanners. Is it possible to monitor the frequency
used to send teletype messages to the station printer on my scanner and read
the messages on my PC. I know someone has figured out how to do this I just
can't find where.
You might try downloading TrueTTY (small fee for registering but you
can try it out for free). It decodes Baudot Teletype (RTTY) and
ASCII Teletype among other formats. All the extra hardware required
is a male-to-male audio cable from your scanner headphone jack to the
line-in jack on your PC.
