I have moved to Fla. and were I am everything is trunked freq's and I
can't seem to get the Freq's to scan. Does anyone know what I may be doing
wrong.
Ken,
We need more information to be of assistance.
What trunked system are you trying to monitor ?
Do you have a programming cable, and software for programming the Pro 92 ...
such as Win92 ?
The Pro92 list on
www.yahoogroups.com has some compatible .spg files for
monitoring some Florida trunked systems ... which you could load directly into
your scanner with a cable and software. The .spg files are in the "Files"
section of the Pro92 list.
If you visit the
www.trunkedradio.net website, you can access the "database"
section for Florida, then choose the trunked system you wish to monitor.
You'll find relatively accurate information on the system frequencies, sites
and talkgroups.
Trunkedradio.net also has an excellent "forums" section for each state, to
discuss trunked monitoring.
I don't remember about the database, but you will have to register to use the
forums section. Registration is free, though.
Florida also has a large number of scanning groups. I'm familiar with groups
in the Jacksonville, Brevard Co, Tampa, Tallahassee, Miami and Central Florida
areas.
Keep in mind that a trunked system might not be operational, as I ran across
during a stop in Lake City, Fl last week.
Or, the system might be digital, which the Pro 92 won't decode ... such as
Jacksonville.
