Go to this site
http://www.strongsignals.net/index.cgi
and check out the trunk scanner information down the bottom of the TRUNKING board:

http://www.strongsignals.net/access/boards/trunking/board.cgi

Also on that board and the frequency board, look up the trunking system's
frequencies
and the type of system in your area to make sure the trunking scanner will work on
it
and support the trunking systems. If any of the folks you want to monitor are ASTRO
digital voice
a digital scanner would be in order.

Check out the software and computer interface cable , you will want that to program
the scanner.

Pay careful attention to the correct Catalog Number for the cable that supports
the GRE PRO 93 , PRO 95 and PRO 2053 radios.

Hello!

Wow i havent posted here in ages; probably because I'm clueless about most of
this; as the following Q will demonstrate.

I own a Radio Shack PRO-2035 1,000 Channel Scanner. hooked it up to the CCrane
antenna [the 'lo-tech antenna; if memory serves its two 'tuned' lengths of
copper wire that lead into a antenna jack cable. Wow I've lost my
terminology-speak! Love the scanner.

Radio Shack is advertising a 1,000 channel. The handheld.

Q: The 2035 is a bit old. What does it have that this handheld does not? I
undertsand the obvious things regarding base vs mobile; what I mean is in terms
of frequency ranges mostly. And anything else I'm clueless about, meaning
anything else you can think of.

Thanx!
