The radio that you are talking about is the Pro95. It is identical to the
Pro93, except that the Pro93 only stores 300 frequencies in memory instead
of 1000.
The thing that you left out of your question is this: What sort of things
do you want to listen to? That info might help determine if this unit would
be a good fit for you.
I have a Pro93 and it has been perfect for my needs. It's a great little
radio. I mostly listen to the local police/fire stuff on an 800MHz trunked
system. I also have another local department on an 800 MHz traditional
radio. I've got the local airport control stuff in there, as well as a few
other things like FRS/GMRS walkie talkies and such... I've not used more
than about 50% of the 300 memory slots in my radio.
For $149, the Pro95 is an excellent deal. I think it lacks the Military
aircraft band, but I'm not 100% sure. I've never really been interested in
that so I've never looked to see for sure. I think I remember someone
saying something about MilAir coverage in here at one point though.

Has anyone bought and used the portable scanner RS has for sale for
Christmas for $149.99? The 1000 Channel job with text. Is it any good?
Pros/cons? I'm thinking of buying one. My Pro 39 bit the dust. TIA for
your
replies. G.W.
