Of course you're free to warn people. It was the name calling that seems to
have received the biggest reaction.

To quote Frank:
"Used equipment normally tops out at 50% of retail. You should be asking $15
or less. Just because someone may pay more than 50% doesn't make you any
less
a crook."

You were calling the original poster a crook. He might call you an uptight
asshole. If he were that sort of person. I shouldn't speak for other
people though.

Sadly Frank, you and I have more in common than is appears. I've complained
for years that Amateur Radio and Scanner hobbyists are the biggest tightwads
in the world when it comes to selling their used gear. You need to come to
the local HAM Radio flea market we have here in the summer and call all
those people names as well Frank. That's where you're needed. You could
get a bullhorn and just yell at everyone from the roof of the hotdog stands.
Those guys will charge $10 off full-retail for 10 year old used gear. I
just think they're going to be hauling all that old gear back home at the
end of the day. You could help these people by calling them names and
telling them exactly what they're allowed to charge. You'd be the hit of
the flea market in no time!

Plus it will get you out of the house and away from you "radio" friends.
It's time to let sunlight reach your skin and make contact with other
humans.. in person.

^ The seller is free to ask whatever price they like ...

And I'm free to warn people that they need not pay such prices.
