I have a Pro-2004 that seems to eat 9v back-up batteries.

Apparently the unit cannot be operated without a battery. Is this
true?

The manual says the battery should last 6-9 months, but the BATT
flickers on mine after about 3-4 weeks.

Anyone with a similar experience with the Pro-2004?
