I believe I read something that Bill Cheek posted that it could be the
voltage regulator for the battery backup that will cause that, the
regulator is near impossible to find though.
Another thing you could check is the solder joints where the battery
wires solder to the board, if they are cold soldered then they could be
causing it to draw more power than it needs.
