The PRO-95 is a trunk tracker with ALPHA tags. I don't know about the 2066,
but I doubt it has ALPHA tags, and it does make a big difference

Any advantages to either of these scanners? Other than the fact that
the PRO 95 is a handheld of course? TIA,
R.
I have found that my 95 seems to work fine indoors. When I have compared
it
to "desk top" scanners it seems to pick up just as well. Given that, I
would
always prefer a portable to a desk top. Why buy one you can't take with
you
if you wish? NiMh rechargeable batteries have gotten very cheap these
days,
and are well worth buying for these.
Now I am FAR from being any kind of expert on these. I only listen to
the
Police so there may be some advantage to the desk tops I don't know about,
but for Police calls, I would not bother with a desk top now that I tried
a
hand held.
