I think that feature was intended to be more like instant reply, if you
missed a sentence, or small bit of information. You're right though, a
nice, long-play, digital recorder would be a great feature in a
scanner/receiver.

Thanks Bill. You'd think in a day where we can buy $49 digital pocket
records that
can record for 2 or 3 hours (or more), that the X2000 would be at least
160 minutes.
Something of a disappointment ... but very nice unit nevertheless.

160 seconds is more like it. Universal-Radio states that it is 2.5
minutes,
which would be 150 seconds.

greets all,

Was recently reading through the Alinco DJ-X2000 manual. In the
beginning
of the
manual under 'features', it says the X2000 has a 160 minute recording
time. Later in
the manual it makes reference to the recording time being only 160
seconds. Anyone
know, is it minutes or seconds? Thanks.
