Worse than that even - he wants to "touch"!

His "electronics" are a Sony 2010 to which he's added a cabinet
handle, and another "portable" radio on which he mounted a lamp (so he
could see the dials at night).

Nope. He actually mounted a small table lamp on the top of it!

He's quite proud of the fact that he
can hear WABC (770 kHz) at his home in Mt Kisco!

I have heard WABC down in The Caribbean for gods sake !!

He attends the Winter SWL Fest in March, but he usually arrives just
as the banquet is getting underway. Makes ya wonder why he bothers to
go, since the banquet is the final function of the Fest!
