It was Frank Collin's Neo-Nazi group that got the permit, although I'm not
claiming there's an important distinction between them and the KKK. The
ACLU did all his legal heavy lifting. He first wanted to march in Chicago,
but was blocked by City Hall. So he changed the venue to Skokie, probably
just to **** everybody off. After he got the Skokie march permit, Chicago
reversed itself and allowed him to march in the City. He did, and the
Skokie march was called off.

Frank Collin is surely one of the Chicago area's most prominent crackpots.
He was a Neo-Nazi. He's a convicted child molester. He's now gone "New
Age" and has his own peculiar spin on pre-Columbian history. The strangest
reports about the guy maintain that Frank Collin's Dad was a Jewish
concentration camp survivor.

Noam Chomsky is Jewish. Not half or quarter or something, but a full
blood Jew. Why do some Jews turn against Judaism?

He rejects it (religious aspect of Judaism) like most atheists reject
religion. He is pretty much a straight up rationalist. I wouldn't use the
term 'turn'... I would say 'found it useless'.
