Since I Live on a Lower floor, I just disconnect the whole thing diring
thunderstorm season;
when not in use..
I snuck it up onto the roof of our complex one spring night;
heard some faint signals never heard before
but
got too nervous & , in the grey light of dawn,
snuck back up there & cut it down prior to going to work.
We have had lightning strikes that have fried our elevator circuitry..
