The BCL 2000 is identical to the Grundig S-350 except for the following:
The Tecsun's am coverage stops at about 1645 KHz, rather than the 1745 or so
of the S-350.
The Tecsun has a built-in power supply for 220 Volts in addition to an
external DC 6 Volt input, The Grundig omits the internal power supply but
supplies an external Wall Wart adapter for 120 Volts.
The Tecsun is available in 3 colors (Black, Red and Silver). The Grundig is
Silver only.
The Tecsun comes with a Chinese Owner's manual (you can download the S-350
English manual from the Eton Website or the Yahoo S-350 Group (which is full
of info on these radios...every detail has been and continues to be covered
in detail. Here's the link:

Also be sure you get a new production unit as there were improvements within
the past 6 months. The biggest change was the addition of a permanent "On"
position. The first year or so of production would shut off after 90 minutes
with no permanent On feature. Also, the latest units provide FM Stereo at
the Headphone Jack...the earlier ones were only stereo at the Line Out
jacks. From what I've read, all mail order sources have the newer units now,
but my local Brookstone store has the older one on display...I don't know if
their actual stock is of the newer variety or not.
I think that covers it.
