Craig,

Hi. I just got one a couple of weeks ago on e-bay as well.
Paid a bit less than you but no cover (actually I didn't even
realize it had one until I read your post!). Otherwise it
is in excellent shape.

I've checked around a little for service manuals, but came up
empty at the various resellers - though it is covered in a Sams TSM.
Sams charges are fairly hefty, but I've been thinking about getting
it because it's such a nice radio, and my wife lets me keep it in
the kitchen. Write me at or post a reply
if you'd like to split one.

Larry

PS If you want a laugh go to
www.partsolver.com. They have four pages
of spare parts listed for this radio, including the power cord, except
that almost all of them except some of the basic components
are not available.

My ship finally came in. I was fortunate enough to snag a Sony CRF-150 for
$99 last week on eBay via Buy It Now. I lucked out and stumbled on it about
three minutes after it was listed. It is in absolute mint condition with
the original cover. A little dust and cigarette smoke discoloration, but
everything works and no scratches or dents anywhere. Even the leatherette
and antenna are perfect too. Here's the link:

It was missing the owners manual and the original power cord had a few
splits from being stored in a folded position for so long.

If anyone knows where to find an original (or repro) Sony replacement power
cord as well as an owner's manual, I'd be much obliged. I'm also very
interested in finding a service manual or any other documents that have
alignment instructions so I can make sure it's as close to factory as
possible.

Craig
