I've never been to the SWL Winterfest but I did attend several of the
ANARC conventions years ago. Always had a good time meeting other
SWL/DXers.

If you are in the area I'm sure you'd find it worthwhile to attend.

I'm just trying to make a point that many like myself are not going to
travel to the east coast in winter to a an airport that I can't take a
direct flight too.

There are many cities that cater to the convention business that people
could more easily travel to on direct flights so that more than the
people in the area are likely to join. A better season could be chosen.
