Same reason prices are different at different places on almost
everything. WHATEVER THE MARKET WILL BEAR!

Why is plain salt $1.69 at Kroger and .98 at WalMart?

Why is soda at retail pricing normally 21 cents for 12 ounces at a
store or $2.24 per gallon retail if you look at it that way. But at a
restaurant (who buys it wholesale also, just as the store does) why do
they sell it for over $17.00 per gallon? Any price over 99 cents,
which represents 1000% markup is extortion on soda products!

My experience with the IC-2100H:

Had to replace a failing (25 year old) packet link radio.
Checked eBay, they were selling for $150 - $180 "New In Box".
Checked HRO, AES, etc. on the web.
Prices were $149 - $169 plus shipping.
Drove to Portland HRO, asked about price.
Store owner checked computer, looked at the big
pile of 2100Hs on the shelf, picked up a box, put it
on the counter and said "How about $135?".

Of course I bought some other stuff as well ;-)
