I thought I had lost all respect for Bryant when he began constantly
resorting to rudeness, insults, and name-calling to defend his liberal views
(and called it debate).

I have called anything that transpires in this NG "debate."

Amazingly, he has managed to even lower THAT opinion.

Given the politcal expressions emanating from you, I am delighted to be held in
low opinion by you!

If anything good has come from this, it is that most universities will not
want him as part of their faculty, thus minimizing his influence with young
people.

Too late. But you don't have to worry. It's easy to figure out that you'll
never see the inside of a university.... ;-)
