I went through the calibration of my 949 recently by borrowing a buddy's Bird wattmeter and connecting it
in-line with my 949. The adjustment pots are easy enough to figure out from the silk screening and schematic.
I also used an external dummy load as the 949's resistor was outside the 5% tolerance. Easy enough to do with
good results and the only differnce between our units is a roller inductor.
