#2 Since I've turned it on, last night around 10p, I decided just to
leave
it
on or when a tv commercial would come on I'd listen to it (by then it was
rock
solid-no drift whatsoever) it has a 'standby.' When you hit it, it
moves
the
receive meter all the way (buries it.) Is this bad to leave it on
'standby'
for a long time or is there a certain amount of timebefore I should take
it
off
that? I thought about it and decided to just turn the volume down to be
safe.
Still no answer to this?
It looks like all the standby position does is mute the audio and disable
the S meter. The AC current draw stays the same (about 32 ma) and the local
oscillator keeps running. I don't see much practical difference between
turning the volume down and using the standby position.
