A friend, who is teaching at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, Korea

sent me this
letter. Maybe BrenaAnn can confirm whether she finds the same to be

true:

a view from abroad

Why should we care if the opinions are irrational? Quite frankly,
anyone who extrapolates these incidents into an indictment of this
country or of leaders who had no knowledge of the activity is already
betraying a bias that would have been manifest elsewhere in one way or
the other. The big lie in all this doting on "public opinion" from
abroad is that we should simply accept the opinion and feel guilty
because it exists, but not assess the legitimacy of that opinion.
