Here is my repost in case it didn't go through, at the bottom I will seperate
it and show you what Justice at RadioLabs said to do, it seems that there HAS
TO be an easier way. {?}

That RCA jack on the back, Chris said would be so much better for sw than the
other external antenna jack.
With the original jack, so I didn't loosen the jack or board I went to the
Shack and bought a 'sleeve' so too speak that I could keep plugged into the
ext.antenna jack all the time and it had an end that accepted the end of my
sloper (homebrewed) which is a typical 1/8" plug. So when I listen, I plug into
my sleeve without any pressure whatsoever on the jack itself or the board by
it, when I'm done I unplug. But there is ALWAYS that one end (the sleeve I
knicknamed it) always plugged into the external antenna jack.
I went to the Shack looking for the same thing today (er...yesterday Wed.) and
I got (against my better judgement)a cat#274-387 it says Stereo to Mono Audio
Adapter *accepts 1/8"stereo phone plug/fits phono jack. I plugged the end of
my sloper, th 1/8" adapter into it ( the other end 'slid over' the RCA-not
into-like it should have IMO.
Bottom line: I couldn't hear hardly anything. I unplugged my antenna from it
and heard more from the adapter I just bought slid over the rca then before
with the antenna plugged into it.
Can some nice soul tell me exactly what to get from the Shack, maybe a cat#
would be great. Just looking at the RCA that was installed, it looks like (I've
never had an RCA jack) something physically goes 'into it.' Justice at
RadioLabs said how much better that jack would be, that I'd like to try it out,
but I went back to the tried and true 'sleeve' into the original exter.antenna
jack and everything was fine.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Here is C.Justice reply just on the RCA external antenna jack add on they
install, the rest was snipped.

The antenna jack on the Super 909 mod is very simple. The tip is the signal
input, the shield is the receiver ground. If you are looking for an adapter to
go from the 1/8" stereo plug to an RCA connection, there is probably nothing
commercially available. The best thing to do is go down to the local RS,
purchase a RCA plug and a stereo jack. Wire the plug so that 2 wires go to the
tip and ground on the RCA. Next, wire the "ground" wire to the first connection
on the stereo jack (the barrel).... then wire the tip to the tip connection on
the other plug. This will be a custom adapter to go from your current antenna
connection to the RCA jack on the back of the 909.

Hey group, is this the ONLY way to do what I did with the original external
antenna jack antenna that works 'perfectly'? He said this add-on jack is much
better for shortwave. {?}
I'd appreciate any help from someone.:-)
