Any ideas on what the Extractor does, or that a new word for radio killer?

Maybe it's supposed to "extract" the BPL signals from the power line?
"Transformer bypass" is rather mundane. And when the "extractors" are found
wanting, they can be replaced with "turbo extractors" and "extreme
extractors".
