Navy Tests New Combat System

By Cmdr. Joe Murphy, U.S. Alaskan Command Public Affairs

ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska (NNS) -- A new combat system is being tested
during the Alaskan exercise Northern Edge ‘04 in June.

Used for what is commonly known as “jamming,” the Improved Capabilities
System III (ICAP III) overloads specific hostile communication bandwidths,
causing users to temporarily lose service.

I don't think they care one bit about radio interference. After all
those countless thousands of whales and dolphins they damaged or
killed with their sonar, the fact that they may be inconveniencing
you doesn't bother them a bit.

All lifeforms are expendable when you're fighting for mom, apple
pie, freedom, democracy and the Hollywood way of 'living'.
