I was listening to radio Australia today on 21740 until 00:00 UTC
when they switched to 17795 and 17715. The 16 meter signals are very
weak and noisy today. They usually come in quite well on both
frequencies with 17715 a little stronger most days.

21740 was very strong today.

I see we have a solar flare in progress.

The flare was a big one attenuating signals up to 23 MHz. It's 01:12 UTC
and I'm still listening to static on both 16 meter frequencies.

Well it's 02:11 and Australia switched to 15515 MHz and I have no sign
of them on it. For me 15515 is usually best this time of day.

New Zealand noisy on 17675 S2 to S4 peak where they are usually S9 and
that flare is still going!
