Don't find the anatomy of a solar flare interesting? Oh well.
Sure I do. Any event on a local sun that has such great effects on this
planet is downright amazing. I was merely surprised at the number of
people named Telamon on this group. That and how they post one right
after the other. *You* seem to be the only sociable one in that group.
The rest of the Telamons are, by the looks of it, snooty buggers.
I like the fact that the Internet can be used to monitor the Sun in real
time and hear the effect on long distance radio communications on my
radios.
Between this and radio...well..it's the best of all possible worlds. The
combination gives everyone a chance to compare reception patterns over
huge distances in a few minutes. This would have been fantasy in the
fifties.
Speaking of things fantastic, there was a clear out sale of laser
pointers at a store here. Three 1.5 volt watch type batteries included
along with two different pattern lenses.
A dollar forty nine Can$. Lasers in the hands of common folk were
science fiction back then too.
